"All the pieces fell into place for the Lutheran Westland boys track team as the Warriors brought home the Division IV state championship trophy Saturday from Lowell by scoring 60 points. … 'We knew halfway through the year we had the people who could win it,' Unger said. Nate Meckes & Mick Clark each were part of 4 winning events.
Nate — Shot, Discus; Mike - 100, 200; & 400 & 800 Relays.
Also on the Relays were Ben Moldenhauer, Justin Combs, & Rob Greer.
A School Record was set in the 400 Relay (Combs, Greer, Meckes, & Clark).

Warriors win their 2nd Conference game of the season, 1st home conference game against Clarenceville. The Warriors were led by great defense and solid team play. With the win, the warriors improve to 16-4-3 on the season.

The Warriors take sole possession of 1st place after a solid performance over the visiting Cranes of Cranbrook. The win improves the Warriors to 30-5-4 on the year and a perfect 6-0 in the conference. A special thanks to all those who came to support the team last night and to the cheerleaders for leading the fans in cheers.

The Warriors advance to their first appearance in the State Final match with an impressive win over the Hornets of Pellston.
