8th Graders - The High School Placement Test in given in January.
It is used to place students in Math, Social Studies, and Structured Learning.


Freshmen                                                                                                

EXPLORE - practice ACT - Required for all Freshmen in October. 
Tests in English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning.  Includes a career inventory.


Sophomores                                                                                          

PLAN - practice ACT - Required for all Sophomores in October. 
Tests in English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning.  Includes a career inventory.

   Juniors                                                                                                  

  • PSAT/NMSQT (optional) - practice SAT - Suggested for  top 10% juniors.
    Given in October. 
    Tests in Verbal, Math, Writing. 
    Student pays testing fee (estimated $15)
    Top scorers qualify for the National Merit Scholarship.
  • MME (March)
    State competency test in Writing, Reading, Math, Science
    No cost to student
    Students scoring a 1 or 2 on all 4 tests qualify for the $4000 MI Promise Scholarship
  • ACT - College Entrance exam   ALL ABOUT THE ACT
    Tests in English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning.
    Student registers (at least 1 month before test date)  and pays fee.
    Test is given on 5 nationally standardized Saturdays in Oct, Dec, Feb, Apr, June
    Optional WRITING test - some colleges require writing
    Students can retake.

  Seniors                                                                                                  

  • ACT RETAKE
ACT, ACT, Inc.
ACT Assessment measures high school students general educational development. The test covers four skill areas: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science Reasoning. ACT registration, test preparation, information on taking the test, and score information are provided.

Dental Admission Testing, American Dental Association Online
The Dental Admission Test (DAT) measures general academic ability, comprehension of scientific information, and perceptual ability. Access to registration information, text preparation courses, fees, and test sessions are provided.


Ivy West

Provides free and for fee online test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and the PSAT. Users can access college admission and financial aid information.

Kaplan
Provides information on test preparation for high school, college, graduate, business, law, and pre-med students. Includes resources for Parents and Educators. Users may register with the site.

Law School Admission Council
Provides information on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). Includes resources on Test Dates and Deadlines, Testing Locations, LSAT Prep Materials, and a Free Sample Test. Provides an alphabetical list of law schools in the United States.

Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), Association of American Medical Colleges
Includes Registration information and Practice Tests. Users may download a PDF version of the MCAT Student Manual in individual sections or as a complete document.

Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) Information, Harcourt Assessment and PsychCorp
Contains information about the Pharmacy College Admission Test. Users can view a PDF version of the Candidate Information Booklet. The booklet explains how to apply for the test, describes the tests contents, and provides sample questions and answers.

PRAXIS Series: Professional Assessments for Beginning Teachers
Includes information on the three PRAXIS Series Tests: Academic Skills Assessments, Subject Assessments, and Classroom Performance Assessments.

PSAT/NMSQT, CollegeBoard.com
Provides information on the SAT I and SAT II: Subject Test in Writing. Includes sample verbal, math, and writing skills questions with answers and explanations. Includes a link to Scholarship and Recognition programs.

SAT I: Reasoning, College Board
Provides information on the educational tests SAT I: Reasoning, SAT II: Subject Tests, PSAT/NMSQT. and Advanced Placement (AP). Information includes testing dates, fees, testing center locations, and practice guides.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Provides information on TOEFL Publication and Forms, TOEFL Computer-Based and Supplemental Paper Testing, Test Preparation, and Resources for Educators and Researchers.
