Lutheran High School Westland
At LHWL, we take pride in our close-knit drama department. It's full of amazing and fun opportunities such as being a part of our Thespian troupe, going to plays together, and above all, performing. Drama is a great place to go to meet new friends and get the most out of your high school experience. One thing in particular that we love about our drama department is that there are many varieties of people in it. It isn't just for the "drama kids"; it's for anyone who would like to participate. This includes anyone from the sporty people to the band kids. Being a regular in our plays isn't a requirement to get a lead role, either. It's all about talent and passion. It could be your first time doing a play, and you'd still have just as much chance at getting a lead as everyone else. We also try not to make seniority an issue here. If you have the potential and talent, you have the part.
If being on the stage isn't for you, we also have a need for people backstage to keep the show going. The show needs a spotlight and set changes just as much as it needs a great cast. If you have an interest in makeup and hair, you can get the cast ready to go up on stage in front of everyone.
The drama department has something for everyone and is an amazing and fun way to get involved in high school! It is more than just an after-school activity. It's a family.
